Therapy & Sessions
1. What concerns do you support clients with?
My focus areas include anxiety, relationship issues, self-esteem, trauma, depression, cultural identity, communication difficulties, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions.
2. What therapy approaches do you use?
I integrate CBT, DBT, EFT, Gottman Method, trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness-based therapy, and general talk therapy. Sessions are collaborative, culturally responsive, and tailored to each client’s needs.
3. How long are therapy sessions?
Most individual and couples therapy sessions are approximately 50 minutes long unless otherwise discussed

Virtual & In-Person Therapy
1. Do you offer virtual therapy sessions?
Yes. Virtual therapy is available across Ontario, Canada, and for some international clients depending on location and insurance eligibility. Sessions allow clients to access support privately and comfortably from home.
2. Do you offer in-person therapy?
Yes. In-person sessions are available on Saturdays in Uptown Waterloo at:

3. Who do you work with?
I work with individuals, couples, teens (14+), and adults navigating emotional, relational, and personal challenges.
4. Do you offer couples therapy?
Yes. Couples therapy focuses on improving communication, rebuilding connection, navigating conflict, and strengthening emotional understanding within relationships.
Fees & Insurance
1. Are therapy sessions covered by insurance?
Many extended health insurance plans reimburse services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist (RP). Coverage varies depending on your provider and plan, so clients are encouraged to confirm details directly with their insurance company.
2. What are your session fees?
Individual therapy sessions are $175 per session.
Couples therapy sessions are $225 per session.
Sliding scale options may be available in certain situations.
3. Do I need a referral to begin therapy?
No referral is required to begin therapy sessions.
Cultural & Specialized Support
1. Do you support clients from South Asian backgrounds?
Yes. As a South Asian psychotherapist, I understand the unique challenges that can arise around identity, relationships, family expectations, and emotional wellbeing within cultural contexts. Therapy is offered through a culturally responsive and inclusive approach.
2. Are there concerns you do not specialize in?
I do not specialize in severe psychiatric conditions requiring intensive or hospital-based care, including active psychosis or crisis stabilization. I also do not currently work with eating disorders.
